One of the finest postgraduate medical libraries in Europe
The Library is one of the largest postgraduate biomedical lending libraries in Europe. Our collection exceeds half a million volumes, dates back to the 15th century, and also includes portraits, photographs and manuscripts.
Every year up to 1,000 new books are added to the collection and we subscribe to over 1,300 journals [PDF 100k], including titles from around the world and covering all aspects of biomedical science. Over 90% of our titles are on open access. We also provide members with remote access to over 2,000 electronic journals [PDF] including the Lancet.
Membership will give you access to a full range of Library services. The Library offers modern study spaces, and private study carrels, with laptop connections throughout.
